Sikh Center of Virginia hosts celebration of Vaisakhi Mela

On Sunday Del. Michelle Maldonado joined day-long Vaisakhi Mela celebrations held in Manassas, organized by the Sikh Center of Virginia. Festivities included pony rides and children's games, performances, and a variety of food and drinks.

"It's one of the festivals I look forward to every year. Vaisakhi Mela was earlier this month, but it's never too late to celebrate and give thanks and well wishes across our rich and vibrant community," said Maldonado.
